Pick your own berries

Isn't this photo charming? This reminds me of spring breaks in Oxford, England where visits to the farm was a weekly family exodus. I specifically remember Rectory Farm where blackcurrants, redcurrants, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, Tayberries, beetroot, asparagus, lettuce, broad beans, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, French beans, mange-tout, peas, sugar-snap peas, potato, pumpkins exist in abundance for picking.
On one occassion, I wore ill-fitting Wellington boots which caused my feet to blister in a matter of minutes. In the end, I was bare-footed and spent 2 hours picking strawberries while filling up my tummy simultaneously.
Life was a joy when you are one with nature....
